A Southeast Asian inspired spa sanctuary in Tin Hau
Named after the expression 'float on air', Float Massage is a spa that uses the five elements as its core concept. The spa is located near Tin Hau MTR Station and invites guests to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enter a tranquil sanctuary with nature-inspired interiors accented by traditional Southeast Asian craftsmanship.
Float Massage's signature all-natural essential oils – based on the five elements of gold, wood, water, fire and earth – are crafted by aromatherapists and used during the five elements aroma massage experience. Each oil is created for a particular purpose, for instance, water is made with grapefruit, geranium, juniper berries and cypress, which helps to get rid of toxins and alleviate issues of the skin or digestive system. The massage itself starts with a 50-minute aromatherapy massage, followed by a 40-minute treatment with a herbal ball, magnetic massager or hot stones, and finished with a 20-minute naval candle experience.
Other highlighted treatments include the 90-minute deluxe foot massage which begins with a fruity foot scrub, followed by a 50-minute deep-tissue massage with the magnetic massager paired with the preferred signature essential oil. A foot mask and 20-minute head and shoulder massage complete the treatment. Another treatment worth considering is the spa's CBD deep tissue massage which uses US-imported CBD oil for ache alleviation, muscle relaxation, and inflammation relief.
Float also offers foot massage, head and shoulder massage, acupressure massage, Thai massage, lymphatic massage, Thai herbal ball treatment, hot stone and deep-tissue massage, magnetic massager detox therapy, and a list of prenatal treatments for expecting mothers. Treatments can be topped up with add-ons such as a mineral scrub, gua-sha, ear or naval candle and more. For those looking for a speedy treatment, Float also has express head and shoulder treatments for 30 minutes, perfect for a quick relaxation break.
